Madonna finally was returning to Seattle for the first time since 1987. Wow, where to I begin? This was to be my second Madonna concert. I counted down the days, and I didn't look at any photos or videos. I spent over $1000 in total to go to this concert. I wasn't alive, but still, I was finally going to see her again! The first Sticky and Sweet was forgettable and boring. However, I love (LUV) Madonna and couldn't pass on the chance to see her live. Let me start off by saying, if you don't listen to Madonna's music from the century, don't buy a ticket. Please do not judge her performance based on the fact that she goes on past 10. Also, Madonna goes on late. A lot of fans complain that she doesn't perform enough of her biggest hits. If you are going to the MDNA Tour, expect songs from that album. I am a student and I had to get up at 5 am for class after about 3 hours of sleep. I was even invited into Madonna's Golden Triangle to see the Queen front row. It was totally worth it. Madonna is kind of mean, I will admit that. Madonna is a true professional and has to prepare her vocals. Security is strict and her team all laugh when you ask them about what kind of mood she is in. Apparently Madge was too, she stepped offstage onto a speaker to hold hands with me for a few moments. I am one of the younger Madonna fans, as I'm in high school. The performance was so good. Really, perfectly choreographed and orchestrated. I don't care how old she is. She blended her old and her new music beautifully. Wow, a true icon acknowledging her fans, something she isn't known for! I think all of her other hardcore fans were quite impressed as most people my age don't know Madonna. From a woman in her 50s! It is overpriced, she goes on late, I will probably never see some of her hits from the 80s live, however it is truly the best pop show. I will go again and again, even if it breaks the bank.

"I am definitely not your typical fan of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. This year, I reached the age of 60. The reason why George Balanchine's The Nutcracker stood out as the top concert I have attended is because it delivered everything I anticipate from a concert, and then some. The flawless performance and the fantastic playlist made a huge impact. I am extremely particular about sound quality. The Bradley Center's sound system finally met my high standards. Major kudos to the sound technicians! The unexpected and absolutely fantastic visual aspect of the show blew me away. Furthermore, the tickets were a steal at just $45 each, making this not only my best concert experience but also the best bang for my buck! George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is a show that should not be missed. I eagerly await their return to the area."

In comparison to Reba's energetic performance, George Balanchine's The Nutcracker appeared stiff and boring. Reba danced, moved around the stage, interacted with the audience, and played the Strait-woman in a comedy routine. She also sang a fantastic duet with LeeAnn Womack. Conversely, Strait stood at the microphones and sang without any movement. He did attempt to interact with the audience, who clearly adore him, but it felt forced and unnatural. It seemed like he was hiding behind his guitar, rarely playing it, creating a disconnect with his audience. To me, they could have placed a cardboard cutout of Strait at the microphones and played his songs for the same level of entertainment.
A Fantastic Performance
"Star Wars in Concert" delivers a stunning show on every level with music as amazing as John Williams' score for the George Balanchine's The Nutcracker saga. The centerpiece of the production is the massive video screen displaying clips from the films edited into montages based on the themes of the accompanying music. Raise the level even further by adding exceptional lighting, lasers, and even pyrotechnics into the mix. The most engaging part of the entire production is Anthony Daniels' heartfelt and animated narration of the Star Wars story. If you like these movies, you'll love this, and if Star Wars means something to you, as it does me, you will be amazed. If you like good orchestral movie music, you'll like this. It's not hard to put on a good show.
